The Army Bursary Scheme

The Army has been providing financial support for Derby College students for the past three years through the Army Further Education Bursary Scheme.

This scheme not only guarantees the student a job in the Army on completion of either a vocational or academic course but also provides a financial award of £1,000 at the end of each academic year, plus a final payment of £1,000 on completion of military training.

In 2011 a number of Derby College students entered the Army through the scheme. These students took courses as varied as A-levels at The Joseph Wright Centre and Sport, Animal Management and Public Services at Broomfield Hall.
