Inside the Little Explorers nursery at Derby CollegeChildcare

Home Learner Services Childcare

Derby College is pleased to offer childcare for students through our Little Explorers nursery.

Little Explorers is Derby College's new nursery based at our land-based campus, Broomfield Hall in Morley.

The unique 54-place nursery, set in the picturesque grounds of the historic hall, provides high quality care for children aged from three months to five years. Clubs for older children are also planned to run during the school holidays.

All Little Explorers will have access to the Broomfield Hall farm and extensive estate, including the Food Hub.

Our ethos is centred around the fantastic outdoor surroundings at Broomfield Hall. The curriculum will involve Forest School sessions in the woodland areas of the site, gardening and helping with the production of local produce in the Food Hub and much more.

We believe that the access the children have to the range of outdoor environments at Broomfield will extend the experiences we offer - providing a unique, high quality and stimulating service to families within the local area.

The nursery is open to all Derby College students, staff and members of the public from 7:30am to 6pm, except bank holidays and during the Christmas break.
