Malachi Reid from Spondon has a place at Nottingham University to study Psychology and Cognitive Neurosciences.
Malachi, who is 18 and attended West Park School, originally took Chemistry A-level alongside Biology and Physics A-levels but wasn’t enjoying his Chemistry course so switched to Psychology.
He achieved a grade A in Biology and Bs in Physics and Psychology.
He said: “I’m happy with my A-level results and I’m glad I changed courses.
“I’m not sure yet what I want to do once I graduate but I do know I want to go to uni and study Psychology at degree level.
