What will the apprentice be doing?
The role will cover:
- Repair and maintenance of every piece of equipment in the bakery and savoury departments.
- Electrical and mechanical skills.
- PLC fault finding.
- Work on various equipment in our 61 retail shops.
- Work as part of an efficient and effective team to ensure that any breakdown in equipment is repaired quickly.
- You will report to the Engineering Manager.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician level 3.
- Training is carried out at DCG and the workplace.

Things to consider
Once the apprenticeship is completed the start time will be 6.00am and in the future there may be a requirement to work other shifts. Candidates must understand that there will be a physical element to the role.
