What will the apprentice be doing?
You will work within our manufacturing operations team as a manufacturing apprentice.
- Learning all areas of manufacture including the test of printed circuit boards and system assemblies.
- Prepare, control, contribute to manufacturing operations
- Follow processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Lean Manufacturing Level 2 Standard qualification.
- One day a week will be spent at Derby College.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Further Education or Job in Manufacturing (SMS cannot grantee job to apprentices).
- Progression to a level 3 qualification.
