Tailored to suit you

Steps is a personalised programme for those who feel they need support to enter the world of work, to set a future career pathway and to progress their studies.

You will work towards recognised qualifications to add to your CV as well as gaining work experience or insights into what it is like to study vocational subjects at the College.

We will liaise with you to draw up a programme and targets which suit your requirements and you will be assigned a Personal Tutor to guide you throughout.

Our aim is to help build your confidence, resilience and independence alongside your skills and knowledge

Our Steps programme is run at our award-winning Roundhouse campus – an iconic setting in Derby’s Pride Park. The campus provides a modern, friendly and welcoming environment for your studies, together with all the up-to-date technologies and learning resources you will need.

Steps is designed for young people who are undecided about their future career. Consider this programme if you feel you are not yet ready or able to access a full-time introductory course or if you feel you still need support to enter the world of work.
