Eighteen year old Robert Osborne is off to York University to study for a law degree.
Robert, who is from Stanton-By-Bridge and attended Chellaston School, got an A* in his Law A-level as well as A grades in History and Politics.
He said: “I’m the first person in my family to go to uni and I’m pleased with my grades.
“I don’t know whether I want to be a solicitor or a barrister or in which area of law I want to practise. I can see me going into commercial rather than criminal law though.
“While at college I got some great work experience including spending time with the Crown Prosecution Service.”
