Training event raises cash for local charity

Foundation degree Equine students at Derby College Group’s Broomfield Hall have raised £300 for Scropton Riding for the Disabled by holding an event to educate the public on how to safely transport horses following recent legislative changes.

The students worked with a wide range of companies to organise the event as part of their FdSc in Equine, Science, Management and Training degree and asked for donations for the charity from exhibitors and people who attended.

Event exhibitors included Hoot Hoot Trailer Towing, Ross Cooper of Rosca Horsemanship, Bestwicks Mobile Horse Trailer Service and Maintenance, Blair Equestrian, the BHS, Neigh2B Equine Transport, County 4×4, Eques-train, Trot on Trailers, Project D, LJM Equestrian Range and Derby College Equestrian Centre.
