The event will take place on Thursday, 26 March 2026, at the Broomfield Hall Campus in Morley, Ilkeston.
Running from 10am to 3pm, this free ticketed event brings together organisations dedicated to inclusive employment, accessibility and equal opportunities.
The Inclusion Showcase will offer a valuable platform for organisations to promote their work, build partnerships and connect with talented young people preparing to enter the workforce.
Reverse Jobs Fair: Empowering Students Through Engagement
At the centre of the event is an innovative Reverse Jobs Fair, hosted by Derby College Group’s Supported Internship students.
Unlike a traditional jobs fair, students will lead conversations with employers—introducing themselves, sharing their skills and aspirations, and exploring real paid employment opportunities in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Why Employers Should Attend
For employers and organisations, the Inclusion Showcase presents a unique opportunity to:
- Meet motivated local candidates ready to enter the workplace
- Demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity and social impact
- Build connections with education providers, charities and partner organisations
- Support the development of more inclusive and accessible workplaces
The event will highlight initiatives and expertise in accessibility, neurodiversity, mental health, cultural awareness, and equity in education and employment.
Free Exhibition Stalls Available
Organisations are invited to book a free exhibition stall to showcase their services, employment opportunities, support programmes or community projects.
Exhibitors will be part of a collaborative regional event helping to shape the future of inclusive employment across Derbyshire.
Amy Bacon, Supported Internship and Work Experience Lead at Derby College Group, said:
“The Inclusion Showcase is about changing the way employers and young people connect. Our Supported Internship students are talented, motivated and ready to work. They simply need the right opportunities.
“The Reverse Jobs Fair puts students at the centre of the conversation and allows employers to see first-hand the skills, enthusiasm and potential they can bring to the workplace.
“We are proud to bring together organisations that share our commitment to building a workforce that reflects the diversity and talent of our community.”
Supporting Young People into Employment
Derby College Group’s Supported Internship programme helps young people with additional needs transition into paid employment through tailored training, real‑world work experience and strong employer partnerships.
The programme also supports organisations in developing inclusive recruitment practices and building a skilled and reliable talent pipeline.
