Derby College Group invites employers and community organisations to join inclusion showcase 2026

Derby College Group invites employers, charities, training providers, and community organisations to join the Inclusion Showcase 2026: Celebrating Diversity, Empowering Voices on Thursday, 26 March 2026, at Broomfield Hall Campus, Morley, Ilkeston.

This free, ticketed event runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and brings together organisations across Derbyshire committed to inclusive employment, accessibility, and equal opportunities.

At the heart of the event is the Reverse Jobs Fair, hosted by Derby College Group’s Supported Internship students.

In this innovative format, students lead the conversation, introducing themselves to employers, sharing their skills and aspirations, and exploring real, paid employment opportunities in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Two individuals seated at a table during an event. One person is in a wheelchair branded 'Ottobock', facing a stall with leaflets and a sign reading 'Volunteer Handbook'. The table has informational materials and a yellow item placed on top. The setting is a hall with green walls and wooden flooring.

For stallholders, this is a unique opportunity to:

  • Demonstrate their commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Build partnerships that create career pathways
  • Support initiatives that promote equity in education and employment
  • Help shape the future of jobs in Derbyshire

The Showcase will feature organisations working across:

  • Accessibility
  • Neurodiversity
  • Mental health
  • Cultural awareness
  • Inclusive recruitment

Amy Bacon, Supported Internship and Work Experience Lead at Derby College Group, said:
“The Inclusion Showcase is about changing the way employers and young people connect. Our Supported Internship students are talented, motivated, and ready to work — they just need the right opportunities.

“The Reverse Jobs Fair flips the traditional model on its head, giving students the chance to shine and employers the chance to see what inclusive recruitment can really look like.”

Free exhibition stalls are now available for organisations to showcase services, vacancies, support programmes, or community work. Be part of a collaborative event that is actively shaping the future of inclusive careers across the region.

Information stall for Umbrella, a charity supporting disabled children, young adults, and families in Derby and Derbyshire. The table is covered with a blue cloth displaying brochures and leaflets. A large banner behind the table shows the Umbrella logo and tagline. A blue and white teddy bear sits on the table alongside a grey bag.
