Course Information for Students

The course will mainly be practical based but will include some theory to consolidate your learning of the subject.

This course is aimed at learners wishing to have an introduction to the construction and techniques for creating more contemporary designs suitable for various seasons and celebrations or purely for pleasure to display around the home.

There is no formal entry requirement. A keen interest in floristry and a creative mind would be an advantage, but not essential.

The course will cover:

  • Design, styles and techniques
  • Construction methods
  • Identification and care of materials
  • Costing

The course is delivered on-site at Broomfield Hall.

You will be required to supply your own:

  • Flowers, foliage and sundry items
  • Writing materials
  • Scissors
  • Apron
  • Secateurs

There are no formal assessments to complete, However, the production of a portfolio to document your progression and development in the subject is your choice.

You could progress to further study in floristry.
