Who is this course for?
This is a foundation theory course for pesticide application. The foundation module should be studied prior to any other FEPA module.
Entry Requirements
The minimum age for candidates taking this course is 16 years. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
What will you learn?
The course will cover:
- Current legislation
- Personal hygiene
- Preparing pesticides for use
- Transport and storage of pesticides
- Disposal techniques
- Record keeping
- Interpreting product labels and literature
- Selecting and using protective clothing
- Dealing with contamination
- Environmental safety
How will you learn?
This course will be delivered on-site at Broomfield Hall.
What will you need to bring with you?
You will be required to supply your own:
- Writing materials
- Lunch (there will be facilities on-site if you wish to purchase your lunch here)
How will you be assessed?
There is an online GOLA computer-based multi-choice theory test set by NPTC. The test will be on a separate day from the training and test dates will be issued during the training day.
