The Level Five Diploma covers issues such as:

  • understanding young persons’ development
  • support for children and young persons who are vulnerable or disadvantaged
  • leading practice to support safeguarding and the protection of children
  • managing risk
  • your own professional development
  • leading and managing group living
  • leading a service to support children and young people who have experienced harm or abuse
  • e-safety
  • wellbeing and resilience

There are both mandatory and optional units.

You should:

  • Have completed the Level 3/4 Diplomas
  • Be in a management position
  • Have an excellent standard of English – both written and verbal
  • Be keen to pursue your career in this sector
