It is ideal for practitioners already working in beauty, aesthetics or clinical skincare who wish to offer professional micro-needling services. A passion for advanced skin science and client care is essential.

Learners must hold a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy or an equivalent advanced skin qualification. You should have strong communication skills, a professional approach, and confidence working with clients. Prior experience in facial or skincare treatments is essential due to the advanced nature of this course.

You will gain the advanced theoretical understanding and practical ability required to perform professional micro-needling treatments safely and effectively. This includes:

  • Contra‑indications and contra‑actions
  • Micro-needling techniques using various needle depths and devices
  • Treatment planning for different skin concerns
  • Health, safety, hygiene and infection control
  • Aftercare, client advice and treatment outcomes
  • Professional and legal responsibilities in advanced aesthetic practice

This qualification provides the specialist skills needed to perform skin needling in a clinical or aesthetic environment.

Learning is delivered through a blend of advanced theoretical study and hands‑on practical training. This includes:

You will work on real clients under supervision to build confidence and competence.

Learners will need a professional clinic uniform, closed‑toe shoes, and basic stationery for theory sessions. A folder is required to build and organise your portfolio of evidence. Any additional kit requirements will be provided at enrolment. Hair must be tied back and jewellery kept to a minimum to meet clinical hygiene standards.

Assessment methods include:

  • Practical observations of micro-needling treatments
  • Written assignments to demonstrate advanced understanding
  • Case studies documenting treatment planning and outcomes
