Who is this course for?
This course will recognise the skills of those who need to supervise and implement animal health management plans.
Entry Requirements
You will need to have previously completed a Level 2 Certificate of Competence in the Safe and Responsible Use of Veterinary Medicines (NPTC 0141-21).
What will you learn?
Building on the Level 2 qualification, this course will involve the preparation and implementation of an animal health management plan covering the planning, control and risk assessment of the tasks undertaken.
How will you learn?
Learning will be both theory and practical-based, delivered on-site at Broomfield Hall.
What will you need to bring with you?
You will be required to supply your own:
- Boots/wellingtons
- Non-snag clothing
- Writing materials
- Lunch (there will be facilities available on-site if you wish to purchase your lunch here)
How will you be assessed?
The assessment will be divided into two compulsory outcomes:
1. Plan the Safe Use and Storage of Veterinary Medicines
2. Principles of the Animal Health Management Plan
The candidate must bring a prepared animal health management plan to the assessment which will form part of a practical test.
