Course Information for Students

This qualification is ideal for anyone who works in the healthcare sector or anyone who wishes to work in this sector in the future. The qualification is
also suitable for anyone who handles medication while in a caring role.

There are no entry requirements to access this programme.

*This course is free to those who are aged 19 and over. 

This course is split into four manageable units:
Unit 1: Understand medication and prescriptions
Unit 2: Supply, storage and disposal of medication
Unit 3: Understand the requirements for the safe administration of medication
Unit 4: Record keeping and audit processes for medication

This course will be delivered online.

You need access to a laptop and the Internet.

You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence which is put together during the course and demonstrates that you have met the required assessment criteria. The portfolio of evidence is in the form of a workbook that may be paper-based or online to suit you.
