Course Information for Students

This qualification is designed for learners looking to start work in – or already working in – health and social care, who would like an understanding of common health conditions and their effects on individuals.

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. Applicants need to be aged 19 or over.

To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions, learners must achieve a minimum of 15 credits.

Health conditions such as Stroke and Parkinson’s Disease are included.

You will learn remotely and will be supported by your tutor.

There are no specific requirements.

To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the chosen units. Grades are not awarded.

The Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions is internally assessed by your tutor.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to the following programmes:

• Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
• Level 2 or 3 Certificate for Working in the Health Sector
• Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of End of Life Care
• Level 3 Certificate in Stroke Care Management
• Level 3 Certificate in Understanding the Principles of Dementia Care
• Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care
