It is aimed at anyone with an interest in animal husbandry.

This module provides a general overview of the principles involved in the care of animals. Through work-based learning, it allows students to consider the impacts of both poor and appropriate husbandry. It also explores how husbandry guidelines are shaped by institutions like the RSPCA and DEFRA, as well as by recent developments in research. You will learn how to:

  • apply appropriate animal management techniques
  • manage the administrative requirements of animal husbandry
  • demonstrate competence in the application of animal management techniques
