Event Supervisor pathway (from the Hospitality Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship standard)
This course is designed for a member of the front-of-house team who is experienced to Level 2 and who has been promoted into a supervisor post within the events and banqueting sector. Their role will be to co-ordinate, plan and time-manage events to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Who is this course for?
Hospitality supervisors work across a wide variety of businesses including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels and contract caterers.
They provide vital support to management teams and are capable of independently supervising hospitality services and running shifts.
They typically work under pressure delivering fantastic customer service. Motivating a team is essential to their role.
The majority of supervisors’ skills and knowledge are the same but supervisors may specialise in specific functions or work across a variety of functions which reflect the multi-functional nature of the industry.
Entry Requirements
GCSE Level 4 or above/equivalent Maths and English
What will you learn?
The apprenticeship is made up of four core modules and one specialist module, with knowledge, skills and behaviours relating to each module. By completing these modules, the apprentice will learn about:
· The customer
· The business
· The people
· Leadership
· Their chosen specialist pathway
How will you learn?
Theory: you will attend interactive theory sessions online with your assessor. This will be fun packed and provide you with the knowledge you need to become an expert in your chosen field. It will include pre-session activities that will be discussed and will link to your own workplace as well as the wider hospitality industry.
Employer support: your employer will provide you with hands-on training and support, experience of working in other departments and in-depth training around brand standards, values, customers and your organisation’s policies and procedures.

How will you be assessed?
Formative assessment will be carried out for every module and your assessor will provide supportive, developmental, written feedback for every piece of work submitted.
