Diploma in Hairdressing Level Two – standalone

This course is ideal if you are interested in a career in the hairdressing industry. It allows you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in this field.

You should want to pursue a career in hairdressing and should be employed – or volunteering on a regular basis – in a salon.

• Health and safety in the workplace
• Working in the hairdressing industry
• Shampooing and conditioning hair
• Cutting women’s hair
• Colouring and lightening techniques
• Perming
• Client consultation
• Displaying products to promote sales
• Salon reception duties

This course will be delivered on-site.

The cost of the course is £1,200.

You will need hairdressers’ scissors and other equipment, as well as a laptop to access your e-portfolio.

You will be assessed through a range of practical assessment techniques, observations, assignments and online examinations.

You will be supported by an assessor throughout your course.

You could progress to a Hairdressing Level 3 Diploma, or advance your career in a salon, as a salon owner or as a self-employed hairdresser.
