This course is suitable for anyone who wants to work in the health and social care sector as well as existing practitioners who have not covered dementia care in previous training.
It will assist students to develop their knowledge and understanding of the principles of caring for those with dementia and aims to develop the knowledge and skills required when providing positive care.

The course covers areas such as person-centred care, the influence of positive communication, issues relating to the use of medication for those with dementia and the importance of appropriate activities.
