Certificate in Gym Instruction, Nutrition and Instructing Kettlebells – Level 2 (bundle)
This course is designed for people wishing to pursue careers in the health and fitness sector as gym-based fitness instructors. The course is made up of three qualifications: Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing, Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells and the Award in Understanding Nutrition Performance & Healthy Eating.

Who is this course for?
Courses are delivered over 18 weeks and are due to start at Broomfield Hall campus on:
Monday: January – May over 18 weeks
Course fees are £930.
A minimum of eight candidates is required in order for each course to start.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However:
• Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended.
• The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential. Therefore, a degree of physical fitness is necessary.
• There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at Level 2.
What will you learn?
Course content will cover:
- Anatomy, physiology and nutrition and how they relate to exercise and fitness.
- Health and safety in the fitness environment.
- The skills to conduct client consultations and support positive behaviour change.
- The skills to plan, instruct and supervise safe and effective exercise and physical activity sessions.
- Professionalism for fitness instructing and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Planning and instructing a kettlebell session.
How will you learn?
The course will be delivered on our Broomfield Hall campus
There will be a mixed model of classroom and practical gym based teaching sessions to allow for development confidence, knowledge leadership and skill progression that is required to complete the tasks and meet the needs of the industry
What will you need to bring with you?
Learners will be expected to provide their own learning equipment in the form of pens, paper, digital devices such as iPad or laptops (there will be some access to college laptops in classrooms and from the library onsite) to support the production of notes and assessment work.
The learner is expected to wear appropriate sport kit when undertaking practical activities
