Who is this course for?
This one-year course equips you with knowledge and practical skills relating to a wide range of bakery and confectionery.
You must be employed and working in a commercial bakery environment.
You will be supported by a tutor and assessor, with the option of attending College for theory and practical sessions.
Entry Requirements
You need a basic understanding of – and interest in – baking.
To undertake this course you must hold a bakery role, either as an employee or in a regular voluntary capacity.
What will you learn?
- Preparing and baking a range of bakery products including by hand and machine
- Producing a range of confectionery items (excluding cake decoration)
How will you learn?
This course will be delivered on-site.
What will you need to bring with you?
The cost is £1500 for the course and all ingredients will be provided.
You will need PPE to access the kitchen and a laptop for your e-portfolio. There is the option of buying a bakery theory workbook.

Where next?
