Applied Science (AAQ)
An alternative science qualification, the equivalent to half an A Level for those who need a science mix in their A Level portfolio. There is a second year available to run making the equivalent of a full A Level or it can be finished in one year to be certificated at that half A Level point.

Science GCSE grades at 5,5 for combined science or 5,5,5 if triple

How will you learn?
Classroom and laboratory work with an emphasis on applying skills.
What will you need to bring with you?
Enthusiasm and a willingness to do practical work, do not choose unless you enjoy practical science. All equipment is provided.
How will you be assessed?
Three 40 minutes exams each for chemistry, physics and biology.
NEA (Like coursework and internally assessed) for Investigating Science.
Where next?
University (HE) in a variety of subjects either as science or as another A Level to boost UCAS points, our students have always achieved very well and far higher than the other A Level subjects.
Apprenticeship, having a L3 science does not hurt in such areas as planning, construction, environmental managements ect..
