Who is this course for?
This course will provide an introduction for beginners and the opportunity for more advanced creativity in art and design for those wishing to improve their skills and understanding.
This course will run in two parts and take place on Monday nights between 17:45 and 20:45 at the Joseph Wright Centre.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements.
What will you learn?
The course will cover the basics of drawing and painting, with as much development in a personal direction as can be arranged. There will be set activities designed to develop clear spatial skills, to learn about the formal elements of art and design, and to set you off in an individual creative direction of your own. Mixed media and three dimensional elements may be a possibility.
How will you learn?
You will learn on-site.
What will you need to bring with you?
Some specialist equipment may be required, depending on your individual direction.
How will you be assessed?
There is no assessment, but feedback will be continual through discussion and advice.
Where next?
The course should prepare you for personal creative enjoyment. A course such as this would enable you to develop a portfolio of work to present should you wish to begin the process to enter mainstream education. Other adult courses, such as the UAL Award in Drawing, may be options for you after you complete this course.
