Course Content

We will plan your programme with you based on what you are interested in and what you would like to achieve. You will work on a range of practical activities.

You might work with others to plan, cook and serve a meal. You might work on creative projects such as gardening, practise your IT skills or focus on your health and wellbeing. If your aim is to get a job, you will learn a range of work skills and you will complete work-related projects and/or a work placement.

Contact us to tell us what you are interested in and find out what we can offer you!

How will I be assessed?

You will work towards your own personal targets. You will review these with staff at the end of each lesson and decide together when you are ready to set a new target.

Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?

If you are cooking, you will be asked for a £3 per day contribution towards the cost of your food.

If you are going out into the community, you will need a travel card or money for bus fares. You might want to bring some money for shopping or to buy a drink or lunch, too.

You may need to provide protective clothing or equipment for some of your practical activities.

If you want to keep something that you make, there may be a charge for this.

What can I do after this course?

You might use your new skills in a job or get involved in activities in your community. Perhaps you will decide to continue your education to build on the skills you have developed.
