What will the apprentice be doing?
- Working in the production department you will be trained in the manufacture of high-quality cable assemblies
- This will involve using different machinery
- You will be trained to read drawings and follow work schedules
- Training will be given in soldering and crimping processes
- Our operatives are trained to IPC standard which is widely recognised in our industry
- Applicants will be instructed in Workshop Health and safety procedures and requirements
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Engineering Operative Level 2
- One day at DCG and the rest of the week with the employer
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
QA Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Technical Sales Advisor, Stores Supervisor.

Things to consider
