Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
Da Vinci Academy
As an Apprentice Learning Support Assistant, you will be expected to work within the school and support and encourage the students in lessons working alongside and under the guidance of the class teacher/SENDCO or Deputy SENCO or help students with specific interventions to move them academically, physically or emotionally.
Monday - Friday, term time only. Hours to be discussed at interview.

What will the apprentice be doing?
The role will be mainly following:
- Special needs students with their timetabled lessons
- Filling in reports and feeding back to designated staff
- Working under the guidance of the Special Educational Needs department
- You will be expected to support the students at breakfast, break and/or lunch times.
More specific information will be given at interview.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required
- This course will be delivered in the workplace and on-site.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Possibility of future employment within the school after 18 months.

The role is based at the school and will be mainly classroom there may be trips out of school to support students with SEND.
