Adult Digital Courses at DCG
To prepare students with the digital skills they need for both life and work, we offer high-quality digital skills courses.
Whether you are new to computers or are more confident with them, our digital skills courses will develop your digital skills and knowledge.
If you are in need of updating your digital skills, there are a variety of options available throughout the year, from short courses to advanced courses.
These qualifications provide essential digital skills needed in a variety of situations in life, education, and the workplace. As part of the courses, students will be able to schedule appointments, order goods and services, make payments using online platforms, conduct video calls, create, edit, save, and troubleshoot basic issues related to their devices.
Students who undertake the digital courses are well prepared for jobs in fields where specific digital and IT skills are required, such as administration, finance, marketing, and manufacturing.
The Department for Education introduced a legal entitlement to fully fund specified digital qualifications, at Entry Level and Level 1, for adults with no or low digital skills. There has been a national entitlement to fully fund eligible adults aged 19+ who don’t have the basic digital skills that are typically required for life and work to undertake Essential Digital Skills qualifications (EDSQs).
Are you on a low wage or receiving work-related benefits? Many of our IT courses are free to those who qualify.
If you need help to apply then give our friendly Student Services team a call and they will help you through the process.
