Additional Learning Support
Every learner has different needs and Derby College will support you all the way to ensure your studies are as easy and enjoyable as possible.
We are firmly committed to inclusive learning and we work with our students to create an environment in which disability is not a disadvantage. In fact, Ofsted has ranked our support for educational and social inclusion as outstanding.
We have an Additional Learning Support Department dedicated to helping you maximise your potential and attain your goals. Over the past year, our team has provided high-quality support to more than 1,400 students.
If you have any kind of learning difficulty, disability or your literacy/numeracy skills are below Level 2, we can offer tailored services to match your individual circumstances, all within an inclusive College community.
You can talk to us about your needs at any time during your course and even when you’re first enquiring about coming to College. We’ll be happy to help.
