Corporate College leads the way
Corporate College, the dedicated business arm of Derby College, is the first in the UK to support employees through a new qualification that recognises technical excellence in the fascia, soffit and guttering industry.
Corporate College, who work with nearly 1,000 employers across the UK in a wide range of industries, was accredited by awarding body GQA and NOS (National Occupational Standards) to deliver the new work-based NVQ qualification.
Corporate College’s industry-experienced team worked with three fitters from Harveys Windows in Empire Road, Leicester to complete the qualification endorsed by GQA and NOS in response to industry demand.
Corporate College Commercial Director April Hayhurst added: “Harveys Windows are the first company to complete this brand new qualification specifically designed for the fascia, soffit and guttering replacement industry.
“The training is fully funded by the Government and all training and assessment is carried out by industry-experienced Corporate College staff in the workplace and on site to minimise disruption to the client.
“Harveys Windows are among nearly a 1,000 employers, large and small, across the UK who recognised that a skilled workforce is key to ensure they survive and thrive in this challenging economic climate and are then well-placed to take advantage of the inevitable upturn.”
