Driving to Derby College
Passing your driving test is something that everyone looks forward to. It provides real freedom and the ability to go where you want whenever you want. At Derby College we know some of our students will want to drive to College every day.
At The Roundhouse, Johnson Building, Joseph Wright Centre and Ilkeston we are unable to provide student car parking on site given the size of the campuses, but all our sites are located very close to public car parks that offer affordable parking. At Broomfield Hall, the campus is very large and so there is plenty of room for student parking.
For students who drive and live close to friends, car sharing is the perfect solution to share your fuel and parking costs with others.
Cars can also cause traffic jams and congestion in busy areas and at College we are keen to promote the use of alternatives wherever possible.
