Community Exhibition Outlines Plans for Mackworth Site

Derby College will hold a community consultation exhibition on Tuesday, 28th February about its proposals for the future of the remaining land at its former site in Prince Charles Avenue in Mackworth.

Members of the public are invited to the Diocesan Centre in Mornington Crescent, Mackworth, between 2pm and 8pm where outline plans for the proposed use of  approximately 28 acres of land will be available.

Representatives from the College will be available to discuss the plans and visitors will be asked to complete questionnaires with feedback about the type of facilities they may want included within the re-development in the future.

If the response is positive, the College will appoint a development partner and a planning application will be submitted.  If approved, the site will be marketed for sale with proceeds earmarked for re-investment in further education facilities, including a planned new £3.5 million construction academy in Pride Park.
