Completed your GCSEs and wondering where to take your studies next? Then take a closer look at the many options available at Derby College. We offer a range of starting levels to suit your individual needs and abilities.
Whatever your results at GCSE, you’ll find the perfect match for you. Even if you were considering resitting your exams, you might find that a vocational course is a better way forward at this stage of your education.
If your GCSE grades are mainly Es and Fs, you can start at Level 1; if you have four Ds, you can start at Level 2; if you have 4 Cs or more, you can fast track your progress to Level 3.
Don’t worry - we can advise you on the best choices so that your course is challenging enough to give you the skills you need but not so advanced that you feel out of your depth.
Derby College only offers a full-time GCSE programme for students who have never had an opportunity to sit these examinations before.
However, if you wish to improve your Maths and/or English GCSE from a minimum of grade D, you will have the opportunity to work towards this alongside your vocational course.
