Maddie Baker has her sights set on a career as a forensic psychologist after getting better A-level results than she thought she'd get.

Maddie got A*s in her Criminology and Psychology A-levels, as well as a grade B in English Language. She is now all  set to do a degree in forensic psychology at the University of Derby.

A former pupil of Lees Brook Academy in Derby, Maddie said: “Forensic Psychology has fascinated me for the past six or seven years and I know it’s what I want to get into.

“No one has influenced my decision as such, but I do have family members in the police. I really want to do forensic work and my A-level grades are better than I thought they’d be.”
