What will the apprentice be doing?
· Working alongside our current skilled operatives carrying out redecoration work.
· Repairing damage to internal finishes prior to painting
· Carrying out preparation work to interior finishes following work to prevent damp and mould
· Painting void rooms
· Painting void properties
Preparation of properties for return to property owners
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once qualified the person would then be expected to work within our maintenance team carrying out painting and decorating work. We have a multi skilled maintenance team. Should the person wish to go and learn other trades that will be supported.

Things to consider
As part of the initial induction to the company the successful candidate will spend time working in all of the different teams, we have maintaining the properties.
About the employer
We are a housing maintenance company primarily carrying out work for Derventio Housing Trust. We provide Responsive repairs, painting and decorating, cleaning and grounds maintenance services.
We have 22 employees. We maintain properties in Derby, Alfreton, Ripley, Heanor Ilkeston, Chesterfield, Stafford and Cannock. The various teams start from Derby each morning.
