What will the apprentice be doing?

In this varied and fast-paced role, you will play a key part in helping patients access the care they need. You will:

  • Support patients with long-term conditions by inviting them for reviews, tests, and appointments
  • Help manage repeat prescriptions and respond to routine medication queries
  • Contact patients by phone, text, or email to arrange follow-ups and provide updates
  • Keep patient records accurate and up to date using the clinical system
  • Work closely with pharmacy and clinical teams to keep services running smoothly

You won't be expected to make clinical decisions full training and clear guidance will be provided, making this an ideal stepping stone into healthcare.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Business Administrator Level 3.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This is a new role for the practice and it is anticipated that the apprentice would progress into the full-time role on completion of the apprenticeship.
