What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Apprentices support business operations by managing information, working with teams, and helping improve efficiency
  • The programme typically lasts 12 - 18 months and prepares learners for progression into more senior roles
  • As the Environmental & Sustainability Administrator Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting DCG's sustainability agenda. Working closely with the Environmental & Sustainability Manager, you will provide administrative and project support while developing professional skills and gaining experience in environmental sustainability

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Organising and supporting meetings, including scheduling appointments, preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on actions
  • Communicating with staff, students and external stakeholders to share sustainability information, promote initiatives, and support engagement activities
  • Collecting, inputting and monitoring sustainability data using digital systems (e.g. spreadsheets) to maintain accurate records and produce reports
  • Supporting the delivery of sustainability projects and campaigns, including independently managing smaller initiatives such as producing the half-termly sustainability newsletter and co-ordinating behaviour change campaigns
  • Maintaining project documentation, tracking progress against actions and supporting the Sustainability Team with a range of administrative and coordination activities
