Positive attitude and strong work ethic earns Blessing permanent job after T Level placement
Former Management and Administration student Blessing Emmanuel has just started a permanent job with the Derby-based organisation that provided her T Level placement.
Blue Sky Brokers were so impressed by Blessing’s positive attitude and strong work ethic that she was offered employment with them ahead of getting her T Level results this summer.
Blessing, 19, enrolled on the T Level in Management and Administration course at the Roundhouse, after successfully completing GCSE Plus with Derby College.
She said: “I originally came to college to re-sit English GCSE, and while at Joseph Wright Centre got the chance to take GCSEs in Media and Business, which I really enjoyed.
“From there I moved on to my T Level, where I found the work placement so beneficial.
“Employers these days like you to have some work experience, and taking the T Level has definitely put me at an advantage over other young people looking for employment.”
Blue Sky Brokers is part of The Disability Syndicate, a social enterprise delivering tailored services to the social care, disability, and charity sectors.
While on her placement, Blessing gained hands-on experience across several business areas, including Direct Payments, Card Processing, and Marketing, but ultimately found her true vocation in Payroll and Managed Accounts.

“She has consistently stepped in to support during busy periods, shown initiative in her work, and actively engaged in team activities, becoming a valued and well-liked member of the wider organisation.
“We are incredibly proud of everything Blessing has achieved during her placement and are delighted that she will be continuing her journey with us as she begins her new role within the Payroll and Managed Accounts Team.”
Blessing is looking forward to gaining more experience with Blue Sky Brokers, adding that she could see herself progressing to a senior role within her team one day.
