Derby Homes celebrates ten year apprenticeship scheme anniversary

Derby Homes has just commemorated 10 years since the inception of Derby Homes' Apprenticeship Scheme, and the positive impact it has had upon countless lives.

Derby College is immensely proud to have been a part of this incredible journey over the past decade, helping numerous young individuals realise their potential.

Where over the years, over 100 young people have been part of Derby Homes’ Apprenticeship Scheme.

Throughout this journey, the apprentices have not only gained invaluable skills and experiences but have also embarked on fulfilling careers.

They have achieved formal qualifications that not only recognise their talents but also align with industry standards and expectations.

Sophie Bancroft, Derby Homes’ Employee Development and Corporate Support Manager said of the partnership: “We are proud to have been providing apprenticeships for the last 10 years and our partnership with Derby College Group has been very successful.

“We have been able to work with the college assessors to ensure our apprentices receive support at all times and get a real understanding of the world of work in order to complete their apprenticeships.”

Kate Martin, Deputy Principal commented on the milestone: “We are honoured to partner with Derby Homes for ten years and to be able to offer our students real-world apprenticeship opportunities.

“This collaboration not only enriches our curriculum but also empowers our students to gain hands-on experience, setting them on a path to success in their chosen fields.
