We are committed to minimising waste, increasing reuse and recycling, and promoting more sustainable choices across our campuses.
Zero Waste to Landfill
At DCG, we operate a ‘zero to landfill’ approach, meaning that none of our general waste is sent to landfill sites. Non-recyclable waste is incinerated in specialist facilities to generate energy, helping to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
This approach minimises the environmental impact of our waste, prevents unnecessary landfill use, and supports our wider commitment to resource efficiency and carbon reduction.
Recycling
Across our estate, accessible recycling facilities are provided to help encourage both staff and students to recycle more effectively. Clearly labelled bins for a range of recyclable materials are located in key areas to make sustainable waste disposal simple and convenient.
