You will need to be at least 18 years of age. Ideally you should have some experience in the industry.

The course will cover:

  • The knowledge, practical implications and legal requirements concerning the use of a chainsaw
  • The knowledge and practical skills to safely and efficiently undertake basic chainsaw maintenance operations

This course will be delivered on-site.

Candidates will need to provide their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including a chainsaw helmet with integrated ear defenders and a face visor, protective gloves, chainsaw trousers (preferably Type C for all-round leg protection), and chainsaw safety boots. A personal first-aid kit with a large-wound dressing is also recommended. All PPE should be CE marked with the chainsaw logo, in good condition, and fit correctly.
