Course Information for Students

This course is suitable for anyone interested in crafting and upcycling.

There are no formal entry requirements. You just need an interest in creative craft and a willingness to work independently and in groups.

· Researching a range of recycled materials

· How to select suitable materials for different projects

· Exploring a variety of crafting ideas and techniques

· How to organise resources

· Developing an understanding of health and safety in the crafting environment

· Learning how to live more sustainably through upcycling

· Completing a creative project

You will learn via group practical sessions and some independent study.

Basic materials will be provided. You may wish to bring in your own materials to enhance your designs and the teacher will give advice regarding these.

There is no formal assessment. However, you will have a personal learning plan and will develop a portfolio of work for assessment.

You could consider Art and Design courses for adults or a Level 2 award or certificate in creative craft.
