Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. You just need an interest in creative craft and a willingness to work independently and in groups.
What will you learn?
· How to select suitable recycled materials for different projects
· Exploring a variety of tools and craft techniques
· Developing a basic understanding of health and safety in the crafting environment
· Learning how to live more sustainably through upcycling
How will you learn?
You will learn via group practical sessions at our Ilkeston campus.
What will you need to bring with you?
Basic materials will be provided. You may wish to bring in your own materials to enhance or embellish your designs, and the teacher will give advice regarding these.
A smartphone or tablet that can take photographs of work will support the development of your portfolio but is not a formal requirement.
How will you be assessed?
This course is designed to support achievement of an NCFE Entry Level 3 Award in Creative Craft.
You will have a personal learning plan and will develop a guided digital portfolio of work that your teacher will assess and give you feedback on.
Where next?
You could consider the part-time Level 1 Award in Creative Craft or other Art and Design adult courses.
