Course Information for Students

Hospitality supervisors work across a wide variety of businesses including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels and contract caterers.

They provide vital support to management teams and are capable of independently supervising hospitality services and running shifts.

They typically work under pressure delivering fantastic customer service and motivating a team is essential to their role.

The majority of supervisors’ skills and knowledge are the same but supervisors may specialise in specific functions or work across a variety of functions which reflect the multi-functional nature of the industry.

GCSE level 4 or above/equivalent Maths and English

The apprenticeship is made up of 4 core modules and 1 specialist, with knowledge, skills and behaviours relating to each module. By completing these modules, the apprentice will learn about:

· The customer

· The business

· The people

· Leadership

· Your chosen specialist pathway.

Theory: You will attend interactive theory sessions online with your assessor; this will be fun packed and provide you with the knowledge you need to know to be an expert in your chosen field. It will include pre session activities that will be discussed and will link to your own workplace as well as the wider hospitality industry.

Employer support – your employer will provide you with hands on training and support, experience working in other departments and in-depth training around brand standards, values, customers and your organisations policies and procedures.

Formative assessment will be carried out for every module and your assessor will provide supportive, developmental, written feedback for every piece of work submitted.
