Course Information for Students

This introductory training features essential information for community volunteers.  The course covers the basics of food hygiene, customer service and data protection.

It can be delivered over two afternoons and students will receive information booklets on each topic. Alternatively it can be completed remotely as a distance learning course.

There are no entry requirements.

We provide introductions to key elements of community volunteering: 

  • Food Hygiene
  • Customer Service
  • Data Protection – UK GDPR

This course will be delivered on-site.

There are no additional costs.

The course is assessed through end-of-unit tests.

Further Study

You could consider the Award in Volunteering Level 1.
