Who is this course for?
The BEng top-up programme is designed to help you complete the journey to a full degree qualification, either from an appropriate Foundation Degree or an equivalent Level 5 qualification.
The college offers the following three pathways:
- BEng (Hons) Integrated Electrical/Electronic Engineering Top-up
- BEng (Hons) Integrated Mechanical Engineering Top-up
- BEng (Hons) Integrated Manufacturing Engineering Top-up
These programmes are delivered at our Roundhouse campus in the award-winning vocational skills centre packed with the latest industry-standard
scientific and mechanical equipment – from rapid prototyping to robotics, CAD to electronics.
The programme is generally offered as a day-release (1 day per week) programme for those already in the workplace, either as a standalone qualification or part of an integrated degree apprenticeship. Delivery occurs at our Roundhouse campus and students are generally on site for nine hours of class time for 33 weeks per year.
The programme is based upon three 40 credit modules covering major topics relating to mechanical, electrical/electronic or manufacturing engineering. In addition to the time spent in college, it is expected that at least the same amount of time is spent working outside the college on assessments, research, revision and other learning activities.
Further information about these BEng courses can be obtained from the HE Course Co-ordinator.
