Banks Person Training

This one-day course covers the legal responsibilities of a banks person and their duties with trailers, horse boxes or caravans.

The minimum age for a candidate taking this course is 17 years. You need to have a full driving licence which covers the use of trailers on the road.

The course will cover:

• Understanding the general duties of a banks person/signaller
• Knowing what the common banks person hand signals are, and what signage is required
• Being able to list what’s included in the ‘HSE Safe Site, Safe Vehicle, Safe Driver’ model

This course will be delivered on-site at Broomfield Hall. 

You will be required to supply your own:

• Steel toe-capped boots or wellingtons
• Writing materials
• Lunch (there will be on-site facilities if you wish to purchase your lunch here)

You will be assessed throughout the day, with an evaluation at the end. You will receive a certificate of completion.
