What will the apprentice be doing?
You will provide key administrative support to the teams and deal with queries from our internal and external customers, both over email and telephone.
· Updating customer details on the CAPITA Academy database.
· Using data image processing system (Information@ Work)
· Updating Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
· Handling customer emails and inputting others into data image processing system, Information@work
· Sorting and mailing post
· Issuing template Microsoft Word documents from Information@work
· Returning some customers phone calls
· Some face to face customer contact as and when required to assist in the smooth running of this part of the service
· Understand and comply with the City Council’s environmental policies
· Comply with all Health & Safety policies and legislation in performance of the duties of the post
· Work with information technology and associated systems in accordance with the Council’s policies & procedures
· Comply with standing orders, financial regulations and Departmental instruction
· Carry out duties and responsibilities of the post in compliance with the Council’s Equality and Diversity policy.
· Take part in the Great Performance Conversation Scheme
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Business Administration (Standard) – Level 3 - Training is entirely work based.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Potential for a full time role dependant on business needs, once a permanent position is secured after the apprenticeship there is potential to complete further qualifications.
