The Derby College AS and A2 level course portfolio can help you head for the business boardroom or research laboratory, TV newsroom or corridors of political power.

 

Alongside traditional subjects such as English, Maths and Sciences, A-levels are available in more diverse areas such as Textiles, Graphics, Critical Studies, Law, Health and Social Care, Psychology and Photography.

 

Whatever you choose, you will be taught by expert staff who are passionate about their subject and dedicated to your success.

Derby College students make the grade when it comes to A-level success rates.

 

In 2011, our largest ever cohort of A-level students achieved a 99 per cent pass rate - for the third year running.

 

In the same year, 19 subjects saw 100 per cent pass rates and 22 students achieved the A* top grade in a variety of subjects including Sociology, Business, Law, Fine art and Maths.

A-levels are taught at our superb Joseph Wright Centre in the heart of Derby.

 

Conveniently located in the city centre, the Joseph Wright Centre provides an inspirational hub for learning and teaching in the humanities, arts, sciences and technologies.

 

Purpose-built to meet the demands of education in the 21st century, the building features extensive general teaching, self-study and social learning spaces.

 

The site also boasts an excellent library and learning resources centre as well as specialist modern facilities for subjects including science, art and design, dance and music technology.

 

The Joseph Wright Centre's most striking feature is its signature atrium, open to the top floor and providing a welcoming, bright atmosphere. Social spaces abound, including a student common room, refectory and coffee shop.
